Fishtail Roadcut

Habitat Description:    large steep roadcut of well-drained red clay soil along WA Barr Road immediately opposite the small cove where Castle Lake Creek flows into Lake Siskiyou, so named for the apparent shape made by Castle Lake Creek Cove and Scott Creek Cove in relation to Lake Siskiyou.

Note: This list is a work in progress and not a complete botanical survey as observations were only begun in late July 2004. Also, as the primary purpose of these observations was for gathering native wildflower seed, the grasses and trees are not covered in these findings.
