Mill Creek Meadows

Habitat Description and Treatment:   Sloping  vernally mesic to xeric meadows bordered by mixed Black Oak and Yellow Pine woodland and WA Barr Road to the Southwest. This habitat was previously woodland and had been severely cut at one point during the 20th century. Several invasive species were introduced and some of them have been largely eradicated as part of the extensive beneficial restoration work done by the current landowners.

Note: This list is not a complete botanical survey as observations were only begun in August of 2004. The grasses are not covered as the purpose of this study was primarily for invasive species eradication and native wildflower seed gathering.
