other names- none habitat- streambanks and wet meadows range- Klamath mountains from 3500 to to 6500 ft description- perennial up to 2 ft tall, glandular stem from lanceolate to oblanceolate mostly entire basal leaves, up to 3 flower heads of showy orange disc and slightly-lobed ray flowers, usually as many phyllaries as ray flowers etymology- from Raillardia, a shrubby Hawaiian genus, after Laurent Railliard, a sailor on the scientific circumnavigation voyage of Louis de Freycinet in 1817-1820 who later had an interest in botany; pringlei - after Cyrus Pringle, late 19th to early 20th century botanist from New England who did extensive fieldwork in Mexico applications- This plant is very rare and should not be picked at all.
